Ashley, affectionately known as Birdie by her students, is passionate about the transformative power of learning. She integrates Montessori principles into the design of immersive educational experiences, aiming to ignite curiosity and foster compassion.
Birdie's approach includes empathy-inspired educational experiences and installations and thoughtfully curated events, all designed to inspire understanding and action.
As an educator, she is committed to creating safe, meaningful spaces for people of all ages to engage in the present moment and embrace life-long learning. As a nature lover, she is passionate about creating opportunities for people to nurture their appreciation for the interconnectedness of life.
Birdie’s Inspirations
Dr. Maria montessori
Montessori is an educational philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori that focuses on hands-on learning, independence, and holistic learning in intentional environments. At the elementary level, the Cosmic Curriculum teaches the interconnectedness of life.
Birdie incorporates this method into all experiences, (including large, gross-motor experiences!) focusing on curiosity and compassion for life.
